Jon Cassar

Jon Cassar was a director and executive producer for 24. He has directed the highest amount of episodes for the series. He served as the main director from Season 2 to Season 5, directing the majority of episodes of those seasons; including directing the premiere and finale episodes. Although, he did direct the sixth season premiere, and the seventh season's premiere and finale episodes.

He was a producer during Seasons 2 and 3, co-executive producer during Seasons 4 and 5, and executive producer during Seasons 6 and 7.

He has also directed for Forever Knight, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues, La Femme Nikita, Mutant X, and The Dead Zone.

In 2004, he was nominated for a Directors Guild of America award for the episode Day 2: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM. While the episode Day 5: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM earned him two awards for directing. He won for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Dramatic Series at the 2007 Directors Guild of America Awards and for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series at the 2006 Emmy Awards.

He will not be involved with the 24 past its seventh season, as he decided to work on a new TV pilot Washington Field, which was not picked up.
