Roger Stanton was the head of the NSA.
Day 2
Roger Stanton makes an appearance after Eric Rayburn is arrested for treason by David Palmer during the nuclear threat by the terrorists. It is later revealed that Stanton helped allow the nuclear warheads into the country, but hoping to use a rogue group called Coral Snake to track in the weapons, in an attempt to "toughen up" Palmer's agenda.
Roger Stanton was tortured by President Palmer's associates in order to gather information on the proceedings. Stanton was told by Palmer that he would die if anyone was harmed during this attempted assault, but fortunately George Mason's sacrifice aboard a nuclear filled helicopter saved his life.
It is unclear what happened to Stanton after these events.
Trivia
- Harris Yulin is uncredited in all of his appearances in Season 2. Reasons for this are to believed because guest stars must share their name with another actor, but he wanted his name to appear alone. But, since it wasn't possible, he decided to not be credited at all.
