Season 7 DVD News
The Season 7 DVD has officially been announced by FOX, you can read the press release on TVShowsOnDVD. The Season 7 DVD will be released on May 19, 2009; and will include all 24 episodes along with bonus features such as audio commentaries, deleted scenes, and featurettes. Kiefer Sutherland Nominated for 2009 SAG Award
Kiefer Sutherland has picked up another nomination for his performance in 24: Redemption. He's been nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie for the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards. He was nominated in the same category at this year's Golden Globes, but he lost out to Paul Giamatti.

Kiefer Sutherland Nominated for 2009 Golden Globe
Kiefer Sutherland has been nominated for Best Actor in a Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television for the 2009 Golden Globe Awards for his performance in 24: Redemption. Previously, he's been nominated four times and won back in 2002 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Drama.

Season 7 Premiere Date Set
Season 7 will kick off with a special four-hour two-day premiere starting Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 8PM EST and will finish off it's special premiere on January 12 at 8PM EST. The show will then move into its regular timeslot Mondays at 9PM EST for the remainder of the season. This continues the tradition since the fourth season with having a four-hour premiere spread over two nights. You can also check out the brand new trailer for Season 7 here.

Season 7 Prequel Renamed
Originally titled 24: Exile, the Season 7 prequel has been renamed by FOX to 24: Redemption. The source article also reveals that Kiefer Sutherland, Jon Cassar, and Howard Gordon will be the ones on the audio commentary for the DVD.

24: Exile DVD News
On November 25th, two days after 24: Exile airs on TV, a special extended edition version of the 2-hour telefilm will be released on DVD. The extended edition will feature over 10 minutes of never-before-seen footage. Other bonus features include a commentary track; making-of featurette; Children of War featurette; wrap-up of Season 6 in four minutes featurette; and the first 16 minutes of the Season 7 premiere episode.

Rory Cochrane Joins Cast for Season 7
Rory Cochrane, who recently departed from CSI: Miami will be joining the cast of Season 7 in a recurring role. He'll play Greg Seaton, a character who will help out Jon Voight's character, the main villain.

24: Exile Trailer
The first trailer for the prequel has hit the Internet. It was shown at FOX's Television Critics Association event. The trailer is a work-in-progress, as it features a temporary voice-over track, as well as temporary graphics and doesn't feature any finished sound effects. The official finished trailer is expected to premiere at Comic-Con on July 25th. Here's the link to the trailer on YouTube.

Prequel Title Revealed
The Season 7 Prequel is titled 24: Exile. Jon Cassar has finished shooting the prequel, and they're currently in the post-production stage. A special clip and trailer will debut at this year's Comic-Con, which takes place between July 24-27.

Carlo Rota Returns for Season 7
Morris O'Brian will be back for Season 7 in a recurring role. With actress Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe) set to give birth in any day now, this means she'll have to take a temporary break from the show. Season 7 Jumps Ahead 4 Years
Season 7 will take place roughly 4 years after the events of Season 6. This would make the biggest leap in time in between the seasons. It also means that 13 years have past since the first season, making Jack Bauer now 48 years old. Note: the article incorrectly states Jack will be 52.

Jon Voight Cast as Season 7 Villain
Oscar winner Jon Voight has been cast as the main villain for the upcoming season. He'll first appear in the two-hour prequel, and then appear in the majority of the seventh season.

Season 7 Prequel
A special two-hour prequel TV-movie will air Sunday, November 23, 2008 on FOX at 8PM EST. The prequel takes place about a year after season six and will set up the story that launches season seven.
