Morris O'Brian was previously the ex-husband of Chloe O'Brian. He was brought into CTU at the end of Day 5 and continued to work as an intelligent analyst through Day 6. By Day 7, they were remarried and had a child.

Day 5

We first meet Morris O'Brian near the end of Day 5. He is Chloe O'Brian's ex-husband. Chloe calls upon him for help. Morris agrees to help. Morris meets Jack where he his holding President Logan and hands him bugging device.

Later, Morris comforts Chloe at the end of the day as she mourns the death of Edgar.

Carlo Rota was a guest star in the final two episodes in Season 5. He was promoted to a series regular in Season 6. He returned in Season 7 as a recurring guest star.
