Day 1

When Kim Bauer went to Rick's house to try and find information regarding the day's events, Melanie was jealous of a possible relationship between her and Rick. Melanie was involved in a botched drug deal involving undercover investigators. She went on to lie about Kim's involvement in the deal to the police. While in holding, Melanie went on about how Kim had such a perfect life, but Kim stood up for herself. Eventually, Melanie tells the police the truth after Kim stood up for her when someone else accused Melanie of having illegal drugs on her.
