 Day 1
Maureen called David Palmer to inform him about the information she had that implicated his son in the death of Lyle Gibson. Palmer was furious with the accusations and ended the conversation quickly. He later set up a meeting with Maureen in the hotel's conference room to discuss the matter. Maureen showed Palmer the evidence against Keith, which was a piece of paper he signed at the hospital just an hour after Gibson was killed. Even though Keith used an alias, Maureen pointed out she had the paper examined by an expert and that it was Keith's handwriting. Palmer insisted on she not go forward with the story, as he believed it to be false. Later on when he discovered her evidence to be true, he decided to come out with the story himself.
Maureen would later on withdraw her story after she was threatened by Carl Webb and his associates. Palmer went to Maureen's room to discuss the mater again, but she refused. Palmer started to think she had been persuaded by someone to keep quiet about the story, he offered her protection. She then told him that she quit her job at the network to protect herself and that he should leave it alone.
