Episode Guide

Gaines chases Jack and his family through the woods before CTU arrives to rescue them. As Senator Palmer is about to talk to the D.A. about the incident with Ferragamo, Carl Webb intervenes with a threat that makes Palmer change his mind. At CTU, Nina learns that a second assassin has arrived in the city to hit Palmer.

Background Information and Notes

• This episode was the last episode of the initial run requested by Fox for the series. It was designed to end with the rescue of Teri and Kim from the Gaines compound to serve as a series finale, should the show not be renewed.
• Just after 12:35, a crew member can clearly be seen on the left of the screen, kneeling, facing Kim Bauer. It is right when she stands up, ironically saying "there's no one even around...".
