Alexis Drazen and his brother Andre worked together to kill Jack Bauer and Senator David Palmer for their involvement in Operation: Nightfall back in Kosovo, which led to the death of their sister.

Alexis Drazen is revealed as the second shooter to assassinate Senator David Palmer after the Drazen family takes over the operation from Ira Gaines. He kills Gaines' remaining men by blowing up a building with them inside, and then kills Kevin Carroll.

Alexis has a relationship with one of Palmer's aids, Elizabeth Nash. When CTU sends over the photos of the possible shooters, Elizabeth recognizes Alexis and tells Palmer about the man and they contact CTU. They convince Elizabeth to meet with Alexis to place a tracking device on him. When they're in the hotel room, Elizabeth ends up stabbing Alexis. He is severely injured, but later on, is released by CTU when Andre offers a captured Jack Bauer for his life. Alexis soon dies after the exchange from his fatal wounds.
